Policy

The short version

This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not build advertising profiles or follow you around other websites. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number anywhere on this site.

Three things do involve your information, and all three are described in full below: we measure how the site is used — how many people visit, which pages they look at, and whether someone who clicked one of our Google ads went on to book — the location finder can use your device’s location to rank shops by distance, and the booking button opens a scheduling form operated by our booking provider, Progi, which receives what you type into it.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Raydar Collision Group handles personal information through this website, at raydarcollisiongroup.ca.

It covers the website only. Once you bring a vehicle in for an estimate or a repair, the information you give the shop — your contact details, vehicle, and insurance or claim information — is handled by that location as part of the repair itself, under its own practices and its obligations to your insurer. If you have a question about information you gave a shop directly, contact that location.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

2. What this website collects

Information you give us

None. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account, and no job application form on this website. If you want to reach a shop, the site gives you its phone number and address so you can contact it directly.

Location, if you choose to share it

The location finder can sort our shops by how close they are to you. You can do that two ways:

• Type a city or postal code. What you type is sent to Mapbox, our mapping provider, to turn it into a map coordinate.
• Use your device’s location.Your browser asks your permission first, every time. If you decline, the finder still works — it just won’t rank by distance. If you allow it, your coordinates are sent to our server, used immediately to calculate distances to our shops, and returned in the results. They are not written to any log or database.

Standard web server records

Like any website, ours is served through a hosting provider (Cloudflare) that keeps routine technical records of requests — including IP addresses — for security and reliability. We do not use those records to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used — how many people visit, which pages and locations they look at, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device and browser they use. This tells us whether the site is doing its job. It is not used to identify you.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognise a repeat visit and to group the pages you view into a single session. Your IP address is used to work out an approximate location and is not stored by Google Analytics.

We have deliberately turned off ad personalisation.The data is not linked to Google’s advertising signals, is not used to build advertising audiences, and is not used to personalise ads to you, here or anywhere else.

We also run a Google Ads conversion tag (added August 2026). It does one job: if you reached this site by clicking one of our Google ads, it tells us that the click led to a booking or a call. It measures the result of an ad — it does not profile you, does not add you to an advertising audience, and does not follow you to other websites.

Analytics runs only on our live website at raydarcollisiongroup.ca. Our test and preview versions send nothing at all.

You can opt out entirely with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. The rest of the site works normally either way.

3. Cookies and tracking

The only cookies this website sets are Google measurement cookies, both described in section 2. Google Analytics cookies (names beginning _ga) let us tell a returning visit from a new one and group your page views into one session. A Google Ads cookie (names beginning _gcl) is set only if you arrived by clicking one of our ads, and records that the click happened so we can tell whether the ad worked.

We do no behavioural profiling. Nothing on this site follows you across other websites, and neither the analytics data nor the ad-conversion data is used to build advertising audiences or to personalise ads.

The third-party features described in the next section — the booking widget, the maps, and the customer-review panel — are operated by other companies and may set their own cookies or local storage in your browser when they load. Those are governed by their privacy policies, which we link below. Your browser settings control them.

4. Third-party services

Five outside services are involved in running this site. This is the complete list.

Google Analytics and Google Ads — measurement

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, and a Google Ads conversion tag to tell whether an ad click led to a booking or a call, both as described in section 2. Google processes that information on our behalf. Ad personalisation is switched off, so the data is not used to personalise ads or to build advertising audiences. Progi (ProgiSync) — booking

When you tap Book Now, we load a scheduling form built and operated by Progi. The details you enter — such as your name, contact information, and vehicle — go directly to Progiand into your chosen shop’s scheduling system. This website does not read, intercept, log, or store what you type into that form. The form only loads if you open it. See Progi’s privacy policy.

Mapbox — maps and search

Maps, address search, and driving directions are powered by Mapbox. When you search a place or view a map, Mapbox receives the search text or map request in order to return a result. Those results are shown to you and are not stored by us. See Mapbox’s privacy policy.

Elfsight — customer reviews

The customer-review panel on our location pages displays public Google reviews through Elfsight. It loads only when you scroll to it. You do not need to sign in or provide anything to read the reviews. See Elfsight’s privacy policy.

Cloudflare — hosting and security

This website is delivered through Cloudflare’s network, which handles the routine technical records described in section 2. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

5. Why we use it, and how long we keep it

The location you optionally share is used for exactly one purpose: showing you which Raydar shop is closest. It is used at the moment you ask and is not retained afterward — not by us, and not in any log or database.

Website usage information — the pages you viewed, roughly where you are, and what device you used — is processed by Google Analytics so we can see how the site is performing, and is held by Google for the retention period set on our Analytics property. We use it only in aggregate, to make the website better. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for ad targeting or profiling. The one thing we do share with Google Ads is whether an ad click led to a booking or a call, so we can tell which ads are worth running. We hold no database of website visitors ourselves.

Information you submit through the booking form is retained by Progi and by the shop you booked with, for as long as needed to schedule and complete your repair and to meet their record-keeping obligations.

6. Consent

Using this website to read about our shops and services involves no personal information, so no consent is required. Where consent does apply, it is explicit and you are asked first:

• Your browser asks before sharing your device location, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in your browser settings.
• Submitting the booking form is your consent to send those details to Progi and to your chosen shop for the purpose of scheduling your appointment.

7. Safeguards

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The content it displays — shop details, hours, and services — is public information. We keep no customer database behind this website, which means there is no store of personal information here to breach.

8. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get access to it;
• ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent, subject to legal and contractual limits;
• ask how your information has been used or disclosed; and
• challenge our compliance with this policy.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact details in section 11. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Children

This website is intended for people arranging vehicle repairs and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes or as our practices evolve. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how your information is handled — for example, if we switched on the ad personalisation we currently keep turned off, or began building advertising audiences from this site — we will describe it here before it takes effect. The Google Ads conversion tag described in sections 2 and 3 was added on August 14, 2026, and this policy was updated to describe it at the same time.
